Symmetry with Pattern Blocks

Pattern blocks.
Symmetry mats or blank paper..Provide each student with a set of pattern blocks and a symmetry mat or blank paper.
Demonstrate how to place pattern blocks on one side of the symmetry mat or paper.
Instruct students to replicate the pattern on the other side of the symmetry mat or paper to create a symmetrical design.
Encourage students to experiment with different patterns and shapes.
Discuss the symmetrical patterns created and reinforce the concept of symmetry.
