Paper with pre-drawn words
Optional: Colored markers or crayons for additional tracing
Preparation: Write or print a word on a piece of paper for each student. Ensure the letters are large enough for the bear candies to fit along the lines.
Candy Sorting: Give each student a handful of bear-shaped candies in different colors. Ask them to sort the candies by color if desired.
Word Tracing: Instruct the students to place the bear candies along the lines of the letters, tracing the word with the candies. They can use a single color or mix colors for each letter.
Optional Coloring: After tracing the word with the candies, students can remove the candies and trace the letters again with colored markers or crayons.
Review: Once the activity is complete, review the traced words with the students, reinforcing letter recognition and spelling.
