Introduce students to catchy number poems designed to help them visualize and remember number formation. For example:
Number 1: “One is just a single line, straight and tall, that’s so fine!”
Number 2: “Two is like a swan, you see, with a curve and a straight line in glee.”
Number 3: “Three has curves like a pair of loops, one on top and one that swoops.”
Number 4: “Four has lines that make a square, with a bottom and a side right there.”
Number 5: “Five is like a hook and a line, with a top and a curve, it’s so fine!”
Demonstrating Actions:

Demonstrate how to use whole-body movements to represent each number. For instance, use your arms to form the shape of the number 3, or draw a large number 2 in the air with your hand.
Encourage students to follow along and mimic the movements.
Practicing with Actions:

Have students practice the number poems by using their whole bodies to act out the numbers. For example:
For number 1, students can stand straight with one arm raised.
For number 2, students can move their arms in a curving motion to mimic the shape.
Encourage students to draw numbers in the air with their fingers while reciting the poem.
Drawing in the Air:

Instruct students to draw numbers in the air with their fingers while saying the poem aloud. This helps reinforce the shape of the number through visual and kinesthetic learning.
Creating Number Poem Posters (Optional):

If desired, students can create posters with the number poems and illustrations of the number shapes. They can use large paper or whiteboards to draw the numbers and add corresponding poems.
Discussion and Reflection:

Facilitate a discussion where students share their experiences and reflect on how the number poems helped them remember the number shapes.
Discuss the importance of visualizing and practicing number formation for building number sense.
