Choose an Animal: Each student selects an animal that lives in the African grasslands.
Drawing: Students draw their chosen animal on their page. Encourage them to add details that show the animal in its natural habitat.
Writing: Underneath their drawing, students write the sentence: “I went on safari, and what did I see? I saw a ____ looking at me!” filling in the blank with the name of their animal.
Assembly: Once all students have completed their pages, gather the pages and bind them together to create a class book.
Sharing: Read the class book aloud together, with each student presenting their page to the class.
