Materials Required:

2 Kitchen sponges
1 Drinking straw
1 Plastic bag that zips like a Ziploc bag
Pom poms, toy cars, and other small items for movement
Adhesive tape
Steps Involved:

Place the two kitchen sponges, one on top of the other, inside the plastic zip lock bag.
Insert the drinking straw between the two sponges so that one end of the straw is inside the bag and the other end is outside the bag.
Seal the bag using the zip lock seal.
Apply adhesive tape over the zip lock seal to ensure the bag does not burst open during the experiment.
Blow into the straw to inflate the bag and observe the effects of air pressure on the sponges and the bag.
Place a pom pom on a flat surface and position the bag behind the pom pom so that the straw is aimed at it.
Press down hard on the sponges and watch as the pom pom rolls away due to the force of the air being pushed out of the straw.
