Disciplina:
Ano escolar: 3rd
Tipo de Recurso:
Tags:

Large chart paper or poster board
Construction paper (various colors)
Scissors
Glue or tape
Markers, colored pencils, or crayons
Stickers or printed images representing the causes and effects of deforestation
Optional: rulers (for neatness), decorative items (e.g., stickers, glitter)
Introduction (10 minutes):

Discuss what deforestation is and why it occurs. Highlight some of the main causes (e.g., logging, agriculture, urbanization) and the resulting effects (e.g., loss of biodiversity, climate change, soil erosion).
Explain the project: students will create a chart that visually separates the causes of deforestation on one side and the effects on the other side using stickers or printed images.
Planning and Designing (10 minutes):

Divide the chart paper into two sections: one for causes and one for effects.
Brainstorm with students the different causes and effects of deforestation. List these on the board.
Preparing Stickers/Printed Images (15 minutes):

Provide students with stickers or printed images that represent the causes and effects of deforestation. If stickers are not available, students can draw their own images or cut out pictures from magazines.
Make sure there is a good mix of both causes and effects for the students to use.
Writing Descriptions (15 minutes):

Have students write short descriptions for each cause and effect on strips of paper or directly on the chart paper. These descriptions should be clear and concise.
Students can use markers and colored pencils to decorate and add detail to their descriptions.
Assembling the Chart (20 minutes):

Guide students in placing the stickers or printed images on the correct side of the chart (causes on one side, effects on the other).
Ensure the images and descriptions are arranged neatly and are easy to read.
Secure the images and descriptions using glue or tape.
Presentation (15 minutes):

Have students present their completed charts to the class, explaining each cause and its corresponding effect.
Encourage classmates to ask questions and discuss the relationships between the causes and effects of deforestation.
Reflection (10 minutes):

Reflect on the activity by discussing what students learned about the impact of deforestation.
Talk about ways students can help mitigate deforestation and support environmental conservation efforts.
