Templates for the days of the week wheel..Introduction (5 minutes):
Sing a song or recite a rhyme about the days of the week.
Discuss how the days of the week repeat in a cycle.
Wheel Assembly (15 minutes):
Provide each student with a template for the days of the week wheel.
Have them color each section and write the name of the day in each section.
Cut out the wheel and a smaller circle for the center.
Attach the smaller circle to the center of the wheel with a brass fastener, allowing it to rotate.
Using the Wheel (10 minutes):
Show students how to rotate the wheel to point to the current day.
Practice moving the wheel to different days and discussing what activities they do on each day.
Review (5 minutes):
Ask students to point to and name the days of the week in order.
Reinforce the concept of the weekly cycle.
