Materials Required:

Paper plates (pre-drawn with food group sections)
Glue
Grocery flyers or advertisements
Scissors
Steps Involved:

Before the activity, draw sections on each paper plate, representing the different food groups according to the food pyramid.
Begin the lesson by discussing the food pyramid and the importance of each food group.
Give each student a collection of grocery flyers or advertisements.
Instruct students to cut out pictures of various foods from the flyers.
Have students sort and glue the food images onto the correct food group section of their paper plates.
Once the plates are filled, encourage students to redraw the dividing lines over the glued images to make the food groups clear.
Review each student’s plate to check if they correctly identified and categorized the foods into the appropriate groups.
Discuss the completed plates as a class, reinforcing the proportions of each food group and healthy eating habits.
