Materials Required:

Rocks (small, pretty ones collected by students)
Simple clay recipe (or store-bought clay)
Skinny straw
Acrylic paints
Glitter
Necklace strings
Cookie sheet
Oven
Steps Involved:

Clay Preparation: Start with a simple clay recipe. Roll small balls of clay in your hands and form different shapes for the pendants.
Rock Placement: Press a rock into the center of each clay shape, smoothing the clay around the rock to secure it in place.
Hole Creation: Use a skinny straw to poke a hole in the clay above the rock for threading the necklace string later.
Pendant Formation: Create several pendants in varying sizes. Place them on a cookie sheet.
Baking: Bake the pendants at 275 degrees Fahrenheit for about an hour. Adjust cook times based on the size of your pendants.
Cooling: Once baked, let the pendants cool completely.
Painting: Use acrylic paints to decorate the clay. While the paint is still wet, sprinkle glitter on the pendants to add a touch of magic.
Threading: Thread necklace strings through the holes in each pendant to create a necklace or a hanging charm.
Completion: Wear the pendants around your neck or hang them in your room as a lucky charm.
