Capillary Action with Celery

Celery stalks (with leaves).
Food coloring.
Water.
Clear glasses or jars..Prepare Glasses: Fill each glass with water and add a few drops of food coloring.
Insert Celery: Place a celery stalk into each glass.
Observe: Observe how the colored water moves up the celery over time.
Record Observations: Have students record the changes and draw what they see.
Discussion: Discuss the process of capillary action and its importance for plants.
