Building blocks or interlocking cubes
Large number cards (10, 20, 30, 40).Introduce the concept of multiplying by 10, 20, 30, and 40.
Provide students with building blocks and number cards.
Have students create groups of 10 blocks to represent 10, 20, 30, and 40.
Ask students to multiply these groups (e.g., 2 groups of 10, 3 groups of 20).
Discuss the results and how multiplying by 10s changes the product.
