A standard deck of playing cards (jokers removed).Preparation:

Shuffle the deck of cards and place it face down in the center of the playing area.
Decide on the number of players (2 to 4) and explain the rules of the game.
Introduction to the Game:

Each player will take turns drawing two cards from the deck.
Players will add the numbers on their two cards together and provide the sum as their answer.
Playing the Game:

On each player’s turn, they draw two cards from the deck.
They must calculate the sum of the two cards and announce their answer.
If the answer is correct, the player keeps the cards and places them in their pile.
If the answer is incorrect, the player places the cards back at the bottom of the deck.
Play continues in a clockwise direction.
Winning the Game:

The game continues until all cards have been drawn and answered.
The player with the most cards in their pile at the end of the game is the winner.
Discussion and Reflection:

After the game, discuss with students which addition facts they found easy or challenging.
Reflect on strategies for improving addition skills and recall speed.
Extension (Optional):

To increase difficulty, use a deck with face cards where face cards represent 10, and players must add values greater than 10.
Introduce timed rounds to add a competitive element and practice speed in addition.
