Optional: Small paper cups or cardboard tubes (for the gums)
Introduction to the 3D Model:

Review the parts of a tooth and mouth with students.
Explain that they will be creating a 3D model of a mouth to apply what they’ve learned about teeth.
Creating the Base:

Provide each student with a piece of cardboard or foam board to serve as the base for their model.
Students can cut the base into a mouth shape if desired.
Building the Teeth:

Have students use white modeling clay or play dough to create individual teeth.
Guide students to shape the clay into different types of teeth (incisors, molars) and place them on the base.
If using paper cups or cardboard tubes, students can cut and decorate them to represent gums.
Adding Details:

Use red and pink construction paper or felt to create the inside of the mouth.
Instruct students to cut and glue the paper or felt to the base around the teeth to represent gums.
Students can also draw or add details like the tongue using additional materials.
Assembling the Model:

Have students glue their teeth onto the base and arrange them in the correct positions.
Ensure that students label the parts of the mouth (teeth, gums) if desired.
Review and Presentation:

Once the models are completed, have students present their 3D models to the class.
Discuss the different parts of the mouth and how they relate to the model.
Reflection and Reinforcement:

Reflect on what was learned through the activity.
Discuss the importance of each part of the mouth and how it helps with eating and speaking.
Encourage students to share their models with their families and explain what they learned.
