Tipo de Recurso:
Tags:

Materials Required:

Balloon
Cup or glass jar (plastic cup can be used)
Water
Two bendable straws
Toothpick or kebab skewer (or any sharp object)
Tape
Steps Involved:

Cut off the neck of the balloon and set it aside.
Fill the cup about 3/4 full with water.
Stretch the round end of the balloon tightly over the top of the cup, ensuring it is flat and secure.
Carefully use the skewer or sharp object to punch two holes in the top of the balloon.
Insert the two bendable straws into the holes.
Take the neck of the balloon you set aside and tape it over the bendy end of one of the straws.
Bend the straws and place the setup either outside or in a bowl to catch any water that squirts out.
Press down on the balloon between the straws. Observe how the water squirts out of the straws, similar to how blood is pumped through veins and arteries in the human body.
