Materials Required:

Colored craft paper (e.g., red, green, yellow, orange)
Scissors
Glue or glue sticks
Markers or crayons (optional, for adding details)
Construction paper or bulletin board for display
Steps Involved:

Preparation:

Cut craft paper into various shapes and colors needed for the fruit crafts (e.g., red for apples, green for pears, yellow for oranges, green and red for watermelons).
Prepare a space for students to work, including scissors, glue, and markers or crayons.
Introduction:

Discuss the different fruits students will be creating (apple, watermelon, orange, pear) and show examples or images of each fruit.
Explain that they will be using colored craft paper to make these fruits and display them on a “fruit salad” wall.
Creating Fruit Crafts:

Apple: Cut out red circles for the apple body and green for the leaf. Students can glue these pieces together and add a brown stem.
Watermelon: Use green and red paper to create a half-circle or triangle shape. Add black paper seeds for detail.
Orange: Cut out a large circle from orange paper and use green paper for the leaf and stem.
Pear: Cut out a pear shape from green paper, add a brown stem, and optionally, use darker green for details.
Assembling and Displaying:

Have students assemble their fruit crafts and add any additional details with markers or crayons.
Help students glue their finished fruits onto a large piece of construction paper or bulletin board to create a colorful “fruit salad” display.
Discussion and Reflection:

Have students share their fruit creations with the class and discuss the different fruits they made.
Talk about the importance of including fruits in a healthy diet and how their crafts represent real fruits.
Clean-Up:

Assist students in cleaning up their work area and putting away materials.
