Steps Involved:

Begin the activity by introducing the difference between fruits and vegetables, discussing their characteristics.
Display the board or sheet with the labeled sections: “Fruits” and “Vegetables.”
Provide each student with a set of food cut-outs.
Ask the students to classify each food item by placing it in the correct section on the board or sheet.
Once all the cut-outs have been placed, review the selections as a class. Discuss why each food was categorized as a fruit or vegetable.
Encourage students to think of other examples of fruits and vegetables that were not included in the activity.
Optionally, extend the discussion to include the nutritional benefits of fruits and vegetables and the importance of including them in daily meals.
