Show an example of a number caterpillar and explain how each number card represents a segment of the caterpillar’s body.
Ordering the Number Cards:
Have students spread out their number cards on the floor or a table.
Instruct students to work together to arrange the number cards in numerical order from 0 to 20.
Creating the Number Caterpillar:
Once the number cards are in order, students can start taping or gluing them onto the large sheet of paper or poster board in a caterpillar shape.
Encourage students to decorate their caterpillar using markers or crayons if they wish.
