Begin with a brief explanation of the importance of practicing division facts.
Discuss how the game will help reinforce division through a fun and competitive race.
Preparing the Game:

Print and cut out the division problem cards.
Each player chooses a toy car to use in the race.
Setting Up the Game:

Place the division problem cards face down in a draw pile.
Position the toy cars at the starting line on the game board.
Playing the Game:

Players take turns rolling the dice to determine how many spaces they move their car forward on the game board.
After moving their car, the player draws a division problem card from the pile and solves the problem.
If the player correctly solves the division problem, they stay on the space they landed on. If not, they move back to their previous position.
The first player to reach the finish line wins the race.

Provide an optional worksheet for players to record the division problems they encounter and their solutions.
For example, if a player draws a card with “20 ÷ 4,” they write down “20 ÷ 4 = 5” on their worksheet.
Discussion and Analysis:

After the game, gather the class to discuss their observations.
Ask questions such as: “How did playing the race game help you practice division facts?”
Discuss any strategies students used to solve division problems quickly.
Extension Activity (Optional):

Challenge students to create additional division problem cards with more complex division problems.
Encourage them to design their own racetrack game boards for added variety.
Conclusion:

Summarize the key points about practicing division facts through interactive play.
Emphasize the importance of regular practice to reinforce their understanding of division.
Reinforce the concept by asking students to share how playing the race game helped them learn and remember division facts.
