Symmetry with Mirrors

Small mirrors.
Pattern blocks or paper shapes..Provide each student with a small mirror and a set of pattern blocks or paper shapes.
Demonstrate how to place a mirror next to a pattern block or shape to create a symmetrical reflection.
Instruct students to experiment with different shapes and mirror placements to create symmetrical patterns.
Discuss the symmetrical patterns created and reinforce the concept of symmetry.
Encourage students to explain how the mirror creates a symmetrical reflection.
