Draw the Layers: On construction paper, draw the different layers of soil, including topsoil, subsoil, parent material, and bedrock.
Color the Layers: Color each layer with appropriate colors to distinguish between them visually.
Create Flaps: Carefully cut around the top edge of each layer to create flaps. Ensure that the flaps can lift upward.
Label the Layers: Write the name of each soil layer on the front of the flap.
Write Definitions: Underneath each flap, write the definition of the corresponding layer.
Assemble the Flaps: Arrange the flaps in the correct sequence, with the topsoil at the top and bedrock at the bottom, then glue them in place on a separate piece of construction paper.
