Measurement with Non-Standard Units

A variety of non-standard measuring units (e.g., paper clips, blocks, hand spans).
Objects to measure (e.g., books, desks, toys)..Provide each student with a set of non-standard measuring units.
Instruct students to measure the length, height, or width of various objects using the non-standard units.
Discuss the measurements and compare the sizes of different objects.
Reinforce the concept of measurement by asking students to record their findings and share them with the class.
