Transportation Around the World

Large piece of cardboard

Preparation:

Cut a large circular piece from the cardboard to represent the Earth.
Divide the circle into three equal parts using a marker. Label each section: one for land, one for sea, and one for air.
Designing:

Have students use color markers to decorate each section:
Land section: Draw a road.
Sea section: Draw waves.
Air section: Draw clouds.
Creating Transportation Models:

Provide students with small square pieces of cardboard to draw different means of transportation. Examples include:
Land: cars, buses, bicycles, trains.
Sea: ships, boats, submarines.
Air: airplanes, helicopters, hot air balloons.
Cut out the drawings and attach each one to a small stick.
Assembling the Project:

Students will place and paste the transportation models on their respective areas:
Land transportation models should be glued or taped to the boundary of the land area.
Sea transportation models should be glued or taped to the boundary of the sea area.
Air transportation models should be glued or taped to the boundary of the air area.
Presentation and Discussion:

Have students present their projects to the class, explaining why each mode of transportation belongs in its respective section.
Discuss the importance of each type of transportation and how they connect different parts of the world.
